✓ Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide its notification dated 15th June, 2021 has amended the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Rules, 2014.
✓ These rules will be called the Companies (Meetings of Board and its Powers) Amendment Rules, 2021.
✓ They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
✓ In said rules, Rule 4 has been omitted by the authority.
Whereas, Rule 4 provides the Matters Not to be Dealt with in a Meeting Through Video Conferencing or Other Audio-Visual Means.
In others words, the matters which are restricted to be dealt with in a meeting through physical presence of directors only.
As per the amendment, above said restriction has been done away with by omitting Rule 4.
